Comprehensive Global Administrative Zones - ADM0 Countries

Boundary information is sourced from within-country authorities whenever possible, with other information sources including public archives, digitised map documents, and community contributors.
2d986cf5…Usage notes
For district-level (ADM1) and municipality-level (ADM2) boundaries, see geoBoundaries Comprehensive Global Administrative Zones Districts and Municipalities datasets. Boundaries are terrestrial, so exclude maritime boundaries and exclusive economic zones. Disputed areas have been removed and replaced with standard polygons following the US Department of State definitions. Boundaries are validated by automated scripts and a minimum of two independent practitioners, but may differ from other datasets, particularly in disputed regions. See GitHub repository for a list of known issues.
