We are a lean and well funded ClimateTech with < 10 people. We are building significant momentum as we’ve signed 40+ customers within the first few months since product launch.

The role

The ideal individual for this position is someone who can synthesise complex science into clear, concise, and accessible language.

• Title: Technical Writer
• Location: Remote
• Position: Contractor
• Remuneration: hourly rate depending on experience (negotiable)

What will you do?

• Work directly with the founding team to build a customer centric product and science, particularly from a science perspective.
• Hold the pen across all types of science writing at Cecil, including:
  • developing standardised dataset documentation,
  • building scientific concepts,
  • publishing exploratory case studies using the data available through Cecil
• Support the Science team broadly across a variety of initiatives

What you'll bring to the team

• PhD or PhD-level equivalent expertise in environmental science or ecology
• Experience translating science into both technical and non-technical writing
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment as part of a cross-functional team
